![]() ![]() What is the save type of the random save file you found online? You can determine this by simply loading the save on an emulator and checking the save type. What exactly did you mean by this? Are you simply referring to the save file updated by the emulator? Did you make any further modifications to the save files (before attempting the online converter)? When you load this save file in the emulator and check the cheats, there should be nothing listed. It's important to ensure that the game is saved after turning off the cheat codes. Specifically, the cheat codes are activated, you acquire the chips, deactivate the cheat codes, and save the game. The cheat codes are simply codes you enter from the emulator. At no point is the ROM ever patched or modified during the entire scenario. The ROM you are emulating is exactly the same ROM that you dumped from the cart, with no modifications to the ROM whatsoever. I'm not quite sure I clearly understand exactly where the problem is. (Also forgive me if this is not the correct subreddit to go to for things like this.) I was successful with a random save file online (easily available by searching "battle network 4 ultimate save"), but this save wasn't anywhere near where I wanted it to be, and didn't have the unused items that caused all this.ĭoes anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I have the worst luck with Battle Network. I've tried forcing the data to be 32kb with a converter website, but nothing. I've tried SRAM and FLASH as save types, 64k and 128k, but both do nothing and make Blue Moon act like it's data was erased, like it's a brand new game (or the battery went dead - but it uses flash saving.) ![]() Each save I try to import is 64kb, even if I change the save type. I am using VBA, plus a DS Lite, with two different gba save managers. (Even if I imported a 64kb, the game took it and saves normally after import.) The thing is, none of my attempts to restore data to MMBN4 Blue Moon are working. still no icon though, couldn't get that to work) (it took quite a bit of searching but there is a forum out there that made working codes that give both a description and proper name. The process here is, backup save and ROM, emulate on computer, apply cheat codes for in-game item (Duo / GrandPrixPower chips), save data, import to game cart. ![]() So I'm using a R4 to backup and restore my Megaman Battle Network 4 saves. ![]()
